I hope everyone has enjoyed the long weekend and more importantly their Valentines Day. As a mom with a new little one, it’s hard to find the time for date night so this was soo perfect! I had so much fun getting ready! That’s always the best part of the night, am I right?! I wanted to share my prepping for the big date night and let me just say: IT TAKES A VILLAGE!!! Here are a few tips that helped me get picture-perfect and I want to share them to help you get flawless on your next date night!
ONE | Complexion: Get glowing skin and everything else will fall into place.
I decided to treat myself to an IPL (photo rejuvenation). This procedure will help diminish sun-damage, age spots, fine lines & wrinkles, redness and boost collagen. A series is recommended but you will get results with each treatment. I treated myself on a Thursday and was ready for dinner Saturday night!
TWO | Makeup: Do It Once, Do It Right
For makeup, I turned to Marti of Tica Cosmetics who keeps me in the “know” when it comes to the latest colors. I also love her makeup line for its luxury, hypoallergenic, paraben & fragrance free products. Not to mention the line is gentle on your wallet 😉

THREE | Outfit: Wear It, Don’t Let It Wear You
Let’s start with my threads… This ensemble comes from my stylist and dear friend Carly Walko of Thirty Something Fashion. I have abused this pantsuit! I simply change up my accessories and heels and its a whole new look. It’s comfortable and chic at the same time! I cannot express how much LOVE I have for this amazing pantsuit!
FOUR | Accessories: More is more and less is a bore.
I love this statement necklace for its mixed metals and versatility. I can almost wear this badboy with any outfit – and I think I have :O It definitely gets a lot of play time! And for a fun pop of color I added my own red heels & clutch!

FIVE | Attitude: Peace, Love & Happiness
Okay beauties this is the easiest part … I tend to feel that if you simply smile you may experience some great benefits …
- Your inner beauty shines through!
- Serotonin and other natural pain killers and endorphin are released which creates an up-lifting affect on your mood. Double bonus!
- Attracting good people with other great attitudes : )
There’s an old saying that “it takes more muscles to frown than it does to smile.” I have made a conscious effort to practice this and have noticed I have an overall positive experience.
